One post a month?!

January 20th, 2006 by jpixx

Okay,

I had no idea that the last time I blogged here was four months ago in September. To all my loyal followers (I can’t believe I had 3 comments!!! Thanks Daanish & Wilson!) it is time for me to devulge some sweet sweet gab.

Where to begin….
First off - I was inspired to write here because of my dear friend Jamil’s wonderful entry on life in kindergarten/first grade. He reminisced of his first kiss in kindergarten….. HOW FRICKIN’ NERDY MUST I HAVE BEEN TO NOT GET A KISS UNTIL COLLEGE!!!!!!!! Teviya says it was the hair combed over…. I think I was just too good in math. We may never know…

A quick shout out to Adam and his lady, Melissa, for not only visiting us in Virginia Beach
http://jpixx.smugmug.com/gallery/699818
but for suspciously booking the same flight to KC that I had before Christmas. Bloody Mary’s at 28K feet… that was a good time.

OK,….. so life iN Virginia Beach. Going well. I’ve got a pretty mega bridal show this weekend in which my partner and I have two booths to showcase our snuff. I just ordered like $300 in prints, and now I need to decide how exactly to present all these photos. Hopefully, peanut butter, sandpaper and velcro stripes won’t look to amateurish.

MEanwhile, I was just called today to play again in an all-men’s softball tournament. So very tempted… but back to the prior paragraph…. I gots some stuff to figure out!

WORK is GREAT! Still taking lots of photos. I’m editing quite a few commercials, mostly for car dealerships and cable/phone companies. And just recently, I won the OEA (my work) 2005 Winter Ping Pong Invitational. I’ll have to post a copy of my championship photo on here when I get a chance. Oooh, one of my designs was chosen by the agency to be submitted into a regional competition, which is being judged this week. I guess we’ll know soon whether all those years of cartoons on boards paid off.

TEVIYA is doing well. Now that I have my own car, she is getting very accustomed to driving around (solamente). Yesterday, she even went to get her oil changed by herself. I was very proud. We are deeply in love….. with Arrested Development. We rented season 2 with NetFlix and we CAN NOT get enough. That is by far the funniest, unpopular show out there.

The WEDDING - well…. you all should know the date by now (MAY 28 in KC). Pretty much everyone we know is going to be invited. Except Johnny…. juuuuuust kidding. If you’ll haven’t heard from me, that’s probably because I don’t have your email address (you prick!) We now have our reception, ceremony and hotels reserved. Also, we have the photographer, officiant and wedding dress fabric. (Teviya got her dress fabric from China - my aunt hand delivered it to us over the holidays). Ohhh.. here’s your homework! We may have a chunk of time (4 hours) b/w our ceremony and reception. Now, we will probably be using at least 2 hours for pictures, but we else should we do with the time?! Should we do something with all the guests? Should we just hang out with the wedding party? Or maybe we should just go ahead and consimate the marriage….. what do y’all think?

Ok… so that’s it for the January Blog. I think I’ve probably written too much. But you know me…. I gottaaaa stay flyy-yyyy–yyyy
til I die-ie ie ie.. ieieieiei……… hmmmm… that song doesn’t type out so well…
Take it easy peeps.
Peace out!
Jon

The beginning

September 12th, 2005 by jpixx

Of my three friendster friends who have blogs, they have ammassed a whopping five posts between them all, so what better inspirtaion to start my own? Maybe I will be like Jeff G., who posted twice at the end of May, then never again. Or like Wilson B., who apparently posts every time a season changes. And then there’s Kella, who only has a photo in her blog. Sigh….. Well, I’m not sure how fantastic this blog is gonna be, but at least I’ll have started it.

So that this posting has some relevance to my life, I will now state three totally random thoughts that encompass my present being.

1.) Are the Chiefs really that good? Could this be the year that I can root for a Kansas City playoff team?

2.) What’s the deal with Grape Nuts? No Grapes… No Nuts… what’s the deal?

3.) I’m getting married in May. If you’re reading this, then you’re invited. Booyah!****

****any invitations given out in ‘the blog’ are purely fictional. Gifts, however will be accepted.
